So much potential

These are amazing times - the rise of the PC, the internet, smartphones, the cloud, and the post-PC era. As entrepreneurs, it's been an incredible journey. And being able to witness it firsthand is something we are grateful for every day.

Now, the same dramatic evolution we saw in information technology is happening in areas like AI, humanoid robots, reusable rockets, space industrialization, rejuvenation/longevity biotechnology, synthetic biology, genetics, autonomous transport, electric aircraft & VOTLs, brain-computer interfaces, and quantum computing. And, a little further out, nanotechnology and molecular manufacturing.

As spectacular as our technological development has been, we are even more excited about what lies ahead. These new technologies will dramatically reshape our world. 

​Unfortunately, mainstream media and most movies tend to paint an inevitable and bleak dystopian picture of the future. But nothing could be further from the truth. Our future is not set in stone. It is something we create. And we create it with the vision we have in mind. Of course, if you start with a negative, dystopian, and limited mindset, that is exactly what you will get.

We see the enormous potential of these technologies to create a positive future. We see personal expansion and societal growth.

How will we change education? What will art look like? How will we express ourselves creatively with these new technologies? How will relationships change? How will we live in a world where work may be optional? What might our future cities look like? Will we venture into space? For the creative mind, the list of possibilities is almost endless.

For us, the prospect is clear: we have been handed the most exciting opportunities in human history.

And, as always in life, there is a choice to be made: remain a passive bystander, letting things happen with no control over direction or outcome. Or be active in the process, driving change, contributing through action, working towards the desired goal, and shaping the future.

We decided to contribute as much as we can to this amazing future.

​On a practical level, we do this through our Forever Healthy Foundation and our start-up investments, playing our part in accelerating the transition to a world without age-related diseases.

On a global level, we believe this incredible potential is best realized in a community of like-minded doers who inspire and energize each other. So, through Future [+], we reach out and connect those who enjoy creating a positive future. With (art) events, roundtables, get-togethers, private spaces and our projects.
